Have you ever had that moment when your little cycle sprog has had enough, thrown down their wheels and demanded you carry the offending balance bike or scooter home? It happens to us all, and what would be better at that moment than a secure and comfy way to carry the balance bike or scooter home rather than struggling to carry it along with everything else?
That was the thought that came to mum of three boys Jordana, when she faced similar protests. Inspired to make her journey to the park with two balance bikes and baby easier, she ended up developing the Carribob strap.
How to carry a balance bike home
Designed to carry little wheels (balance bikes, scooters or skateboards), the Carribob is a strap that clips to the handlebars and wheels, allowing you to carry your load over one shoulder, leaving your hands free to push a pram or keep hold of your little ones.
The Carribob strap can be shortened or lengthened via a buckle to suit parents of all sizes, and can be adjusted for carrying scooters so that the scooter isn’t dangling (potentially painfully!) around your ankles.Whilst designed for balance bikes, rather than pedal bikes, the Carribob can be worn so the pedals aren’t in an awkward position, but you may want to encourage your child to pedal a bit more!
The Carribob is designed and manufactured in the UK and comes in three different colour schemes – blue, lime and red. It retails for £14 and is available to purchase from Amazon or from the Caribob website.
