Cannondale is one of the most recognisable brand names in the bike industry. Established in 1971, they have a long history of quality bike design.
The Trail 20 weighs in at 10.9kg and features a Shimano Tourney 7sp drivetrain. This consists of a Sunrace, 14-28 cassette and 30T chainring with 110mm cranks. This setup will be suitable for most off-road adventures, but may limit those who are looking for a little more range.
The Trail 20 features a SunTour XCT-JR 20 suspension fork with 40mm travel. Most kids bike with a 20″ wheel tend to not have a suspension fork so the Trail 20 does have a slight weight penalty compared to its competitors.
As with the larger wheeled Trail’s, Cannondale have gone with the fast-rolling Kenda Small Block 8 tyres on a Cannondale wheel-set that features sealed bearing hubs with quick release.
