Cube are a German bike company with a reputation for building robust bikes. The Cube Acid 200 Disc is part of their 20″ wheel Acid series – with this bike being specified with mountain biking in mind.
They’ve fitted disc brakes front and rear to make stopping easier on the trails, which is why it’s more expensive than the standard Cube Acid 200.
Cube have used the same 6061 aluminium tubing as on their adult range, which they claim is “strong, light and durable enough for loads of enthusiastic use”. A useful feature is a replaceable derailleur hanger, so that the occasional mishap doesn’t write off the entire frame.
We’ve not reviewed this particular bike, but we’ve tested a number of Cube’s larger mountain bikes and have always been very impressed with them.
