Read our reviewThe Hornit AIRO 12 is a mid-range, quality build balance bike designed to make learning to ride a fun and accessible experience for children from 18 months and up.
We’ve reviewed this bike here at Cycle Sprog and found that the Hornit AIRO 12 lives up to its name—it’s one of the lightest balance bikes we’ve ever had, so light we thought the box was empty! This incredibly low weight is achieved thanks to its recyclable magnesium alloy frame, which not only makes it easy for a tiny child to control but is also a welcome relief for parents who end up carrying it home after a long ride.
The lightweight frame pairs perfectly with proper pneumatic (air-filled) tyres. These tyres make a big difference, providing a much smoother and more comfortable ride over a variety of different surfaces and mixed terrain compared to the solid tyres found on cheaper budget models. This means your child can confidently go on small adventures.
One of the great features of the AIRO is its low saddle height. This was immediately noticeable to our reviewers, as a lower saddle means even the smallest children can confidently get their feet flat on the ground and start moving comfortably. It also includes thoughtful details like a cushioned stem cover for safety and a footrest for better stability once your Cycle Sprog picks up some speed and starts gliding.
We highly recommend this bike for children who are keen to explore and ride fast, making their first two-wheeled experience a successful one. You can read all the details in our Hornit AIRO 12 review, and for a look at the brand as a whole, check out our Hornit Bikes Brand Overview.
