The Thule Chariot Cougar, a bike trailer that can also be used as a running buggy and a pushchair, has been awarded the much coveted “Mumsnet Best” award. It is great to see that a multi-purpose bike trailer has made it not only into the “Three Wheeler Pushchair” category of reviews, but is actually top of the list in terms of recommendations.
It’s worth noting that when used with a Thule Newborn Hammock the Cougar is suitable for use for babies (1 month and older). This reflects Thule’s philosophy of designing products that allow parents to maintain their active lifestyles.
Products are eligible to receive the Mumsnet Best award if they receive 5 or more 5 star reviews within an 18 month period. All five reviews were from Mumsnet reviewers who had been given the Thule Chariot Cougar to review.
Each reviewer gave a very comprehensive write up of their test, including use of the Thule Chariot Cougar as bike trailer, running buggy and pushchair, in both urban and rural areas. The Cougar gets the thumbs up as being good at coping with all three disciplines, something that can be hard to achieve. The Thule Chariot Cougar can also be adapted to be used skiing, although no-one tested that out!

The Cougar comes in a single seat (Cougar 1) and double seat (Cougar 2) version – the reviews did not mention which one was being tested. Conversion kits are required to turn the Cougar from a bike trailer into a stroller (pictured below), jogger or cross country skier. 
Thule also do a range of accessories (shown below), plus a useful cup holder for when in stroller mode!
