Ti-GO Bikes Kids BMX Hoodie
Does your kid love riding pump tracks, mountain biking and bumpy trails and want to look the part? Ideally with some additional protection in case they fall? That's where the Ti-GO Bikes Kids BMX Hoodie comes in. Read on for a full review to find out why we think it's a great investment.
So you might be wondering why it is necessary to have a mountain bike-specific hoodie compared to a regular hoodie.
The technical fabric used for the Ti-GO Bikes Kids BMX Hoodie is warm, wind resistant and is designed to offer protection from abrasion if your child falls off their bike. The hoodie also includes elbow pads, offering children brilliant, comfy elbow protection if a crash was to happen.
It's designed to fit and be comfortable like any other hoodie, especially for kids. The Ti-GO hoodie comes in sizes to fit children ranging from 2 to 13 years old.

Ti-GO Bikes Kids BMX Hoodie fit
We went for the 5-6 years size, although Zac is four because that is what size we normally buy in clothing.
The hoodie is quite fitted, but there's enough room to fit a t-shirt and jumper underneath comfortably.
The arms are quite long, which is not a bad thing as it stops any drafts creeping up via the wrists.
The length of the jacket is nice and long, which is good as it covers Zac's bum, offering warmth and protection.
Ti-GO Bikes Kids BMX Hoodie elbow pads
It was a conscious decision we made as parents to get him something with additional protection, as he was starting to do more adventurous things on his bike and get faster.
The pads in the elbows are quite long, covering some of the child's forearms too. They feel like a thick dense foam, which is sturdy and offers a good level of protection.
The elbow pads are suitable for rides on mellow blue grade mountain bike trails, pump tracks and off-road terrain that a keen 4-year-old rider would go on.
Whilst we didn't set out to proactively test the armour, Zac has had a few falls whilst wearing the Ti-Go Hoodie.
The pads worked well - he’s had no grazes and the material hasn’t ripped. Result!
The additional protection from the hoodie also seems to give him a bit more confidence when he's out riding.
Ti-GO Bikes Kids BMX Hoodie fabric
Similar to what you'd expect from an adult's cycling top, the hoodie fabric is quite lightweight but durable, and the elasticated band around the bottom of the jacket is useful to keep it in place, stop it riding up, and keep the warmth in.
We would say the fabric is durable and stretchy. It has started to bobble a bit after a handful of wears and after contact with surfaces but it should come off with a lint roller if you want to tidy it up.
Despite this bobbling, we think it will last well, as the few falls haven't caused any rips.
The hoodie is good for laying up underneath in the winter but equally could be worn on its own or with a T-shirt underneath in the summer.
The design looks good with the orange zips and the detail on the arms is stylish.
The little zipped pocket on the front is handy and Zac likes putting his cycling gloves in there.
The hood is big and double-layered, giving warmth and protection from the wind.
Thoughts from the Sprog
"The arm pads wiggle a bit and I put them back into place. They feel good and comfy".
Zac loves wearing his jacket and insists on wearing it every time he goes on his bike. He thinks it looks cool!
Final Verdict
The Ti-GO Bikes Kids BMX hoodie fits well, it's durable, it keeps him warm, and most importantly he's protected if he has a tumble. Zac loves wearing it and thinks the designs are super cool, so it's a win all around!
